Rimonabant Tablets - Uses


Rimonabant Tablets is used in along with diet and exercise to treat obese patients whose BMI is greater than or equal to 30 , or overweight patients with BMI greater than 27.
It is used also used to treat abnormal levels of fat in the blood. Rimonabant has also been found to be effective in helping some smokers to quit smoking.



Rimonabant Tablets - Dosage


The usual dose is one 20 mg tablet to be taken once daily in the morning before breakfast.



Side Effects Of Rimonabant Tablets


Common side effects of Rimonabant Tablets include anxiety, disorientation, insomnia, nausea, headache, hallucinations, hypertension, heart and kidney damage, palpitations, heart attack, strokes, psychosis, fatigue and hyperphagia.
Less common but serious side effects include severe depression and suicidal thoughts which occur due to drug actions at CB1 receptors in the brain.

Imiquimod Cream is available as Aldara, which is the branded version. The generic version is available as Imiquad Cream which is manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Gracewell) India.


Imiquad Cream Preparations


Imiquad Cream is packaged in single-use packets, with usually 12 or 24 packets supplied per box.

Imiquad Cream - Uses


Imiquad Cream is used to treat certain diseases of the skin, including skin cancers as well as External genital and perianal warts/condyloma acuminata in patients 12 years old or older.

The recommended dosage for Adults (12 years and over): Imiquimod Cream (Aldara or Imiquad Cream) should be applied 2 times per week for a full 16 weeks to a defined treatment area on the face or scalp.

Side Effects Of Imiquad Cream


Common side effects of Imiquad Cream include back pain, diarrhea, headache, mild pain, burning, itching, redness, flaking, swelling, tenderness at the application site, scabbing, thick or hardened skin at the application site. Serious but rare side effects that require emergency medical attention include hives, difficulty in breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
