Betnovate Cream (Betamethasone Valerate) - Uses
Betamethasone Valerate in the form of Betnovate Cream is used to treat skin irritation, itching, swelling, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, seborrhea and flaking from eczema. It is also used in the form of Betamethasone dipropionate and salicylic acid or as the combination betamethasone/calcipotriol to treat local psoriasis.
Betnovate Cream (Betamethasone Valerate) - Dosage
Wash the affected area thoroughly before applying the medication, unless your skin gets irritated. Betnovate Cream is usually applied 2 to 3 times a day so as to completely cover the affected area with a thin film of the ointment.
Side Effects Of Betnovate Cream (Betamethasone Valerate)
The most common side effects of Betnovate Cream are drying or cracking of the skin, acne, itching, burning and change in skin color. Less common side effects (serious in nature) that may occur are severe skin rash, difficulty breathing or swallowing, wheezing and skin infection (redness, swelling, or oozing pus). If you experience any of the serious side effects inform your doctor immediately.
