Generic Seroquel Tablets in the form of Seroquin Tablets is used to treat depression, schizophrenia( a mental sickness that caused unusual or disturbed thinking loss of interest and unusual emotions) , acute manic episodes or depression in patients suffering from bipolar I disorder. Generic Seroquel Tablets may be also be included as part of a treatment to treat bipolar disorder and schizophrenia in children. Off-label uses include treatment of conditions such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, restless legs syndrome, autism, alcoholism, depression, Tourette syndrome. It has also been used as a a sedative to treat patients with sleep disorders or anxiety disorders.


Generic Seroquel Tablets (Seroquin Tablets) Dosage


For the treatment of Schizophrenia in adults, the recommended dosage of Seroquin Tablets on Day 1 is 25 mg twice daily. The dose may be increased in increments of 25 mg to 50 mg divided two or three times on Days 2 and 3 to range of 300-400 mg by Day 4. In case it is necessary more adjustments can be made in increments of 25 to 50 mg twice a day, in intervals of not less than 2 days. The dosage will vary as per the conditions being treated and also vary as per age of the patient.


Side Effects Of Generic Seroquel Tablets (Seroquin Tablets)


The most common side effects of Seroquin Tablets seen in adults are drowsiness, somnolence, dry mouth, dizziness, constipation, asthenia, abdominal pain, postural hypotension, pharyngitis, weight gain, lethargy, and dyspepsia.
